Your private Egyptologist will pick you up from your hotel reception in Cairo with a private driver and a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, please request breakfast boxes from your hotel reception the night before.

Transfer to Sinai
The journey from Cairo to Sinai covers approximately 450 km and takes around 6 to 7 hours. To ensure a smooth trip. Snacks and drinks will also be provided during the drive to keep you refreshed.

Visit Moses' Springs
En route to St. Catherine, stop at Moses' Springs, a historically significant site where it is believed that the prophet Moses found water for his people. Your English-speaking Egyptologist will share insights into the biblical and historical significance of this sacred spot.

Arrival in St. Catherine
Upon arrival in St. Catherine, your Egyptologist will guide you through the town, providing historical context about the region and its religious significance.

Check-in at Your Hotel
After lunch, check in at your comfortable hotel in St. Catherine, where you will have some time to relax and unwind before the evening activities.

Take the opportunity to explore the surrounding area at your own pace. You can stroll through the town, interact with local Bedouins, or simply enjoy the peaceful desert ambiance.

Savor a delightful dinner at your hotel or a local restaurant, featuring a variety of regional specialties.

Rest and prepare for an early morning adventure as you stay overnight in your cozy accommodation in St. Catherine.

Early Morning Pick-Up
At 2:00 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel by your Bedouin guide, who will accompany you throughout the trek. Before departing, enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea to warm up for the climb.

Climbing Mount Sinai
Start your ascent of Mount Sinai (2,285 meters) under the magnificent starry sky. The climb takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, with multiple trails available. The main route includes around 750 stone steps leading to the summit. Along the way, there will be one or two rest stops at Bedouin huts, where you can pause for a hot drink or simply take in the peaceful atmosphere.

Sunrise Experience and Descent from Mount Sinai
Arrive at the summit before sunrise and witness the golden rays illuminating the Sinai Desert. This sacred site, believed to be where Moses received the Ten Commandments, offers breathtaking panoramic views. After soaking in the serene atmosphere, begin your descent, which takes 1.5 to 2 hours, with optional stops at Bedouin huts for rest or a warm drink.

Return to the Hotel & Breakfast
Upon arrival at the hotel, take some time to freshen up and enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading to your next destination.

Visit St. Catherine Monastery
Next, visit the St. Catherine Monastery, one of the oldest Christian monasteries in the world. Your Egyptologist will guide you through its rich history, showcasing its ancient icons, mosaics, and the Burning Bush, believed to be the very bush from which God spoke to Moses.

Explore the Tomb of Aaron
Your journey continues to the Tomb of Aaron, the final resting place of Moses’ brother, a revered site of historical and religious importance.

Golden Calf Rock
Visit the Golden Calf Rock, a site believed to be where the Israelites once worshipped the golden calf during their exodus. Your Egyptologist will provide fascinating insights into this biblical event.

Lunch
Enjoy a final meal in St. Catherine before beginning your journey back to Cairo.

Bid farewell to the St. Catherine and Sinai as you embark on your return journey to Cairo. Covering approximately 450 kilometers through the vast desert landscape, the drive takes around 6 to 7 hours.
